After quitting my job, I decided to take up cake decorating (and blogging). I made a pact to myself that 2009 was going to be a good year and I was going to do everything and anything that made me happy. Come along for the ride!

Meeko Raccoon

Nothing about cakes or running here! :o)

It's been two days since I've been out of Wilton. Ahh...the smell of freedom!

I would love to say I've been sitting around doing nothing...but that hasn't been the case. NO RELAXATION HERE FOR YOU MISSY!!!!

As a matter of fact, we just got rid of a raccoon in our hutzebo. What's a hutzebo? It's a combo between a hut and a gazebo. I'm not exactly sure what it's called...but it's in our backyard...so hutzebo it is!

Up until 2 days ago, I have never seen a raccoon up close. I mean, sure i've seen them run over on the side of the road and on tv, but never have I seen one up close.

I have heard about how dangerous they are so NEED NOT FEAR, SAVITRE DID NOT GET NEAR. Thanks to my super zoom, I was able to get a great shot of Meeko (from Pocahontas).
We wanted him/her to leave (even gave it directions to the nearest Panda Express and Starbucks), but still found Meeko the next day tucked into a corner looking nice and cozy. Awww...so cute!

We eventually had to call animal control because poor Oakie could no longer enjoy his own backyard. When animal control came, they tried to get it but smart lil Meeko made a run for it! YAY Meeko!!....I hope you're safe out there!

I was quite sad to see the raccoon go...but I guess it's for the best. *sigh*

When I'm in Orlando, I'm going to get me a Meeko stuffed animal. Yes, I still love stuffed animals. *cheeky grin* Also, I want to get a Yeti because I missed my opportunity last time.

Anyways, along with the raccoon ruckus, I did the 30K mile tune up on my car -Zoom Zoom Zoom-guess what car I own :o)-even though it's only at 24K, took Oakie to the vet to get his annual shots, got lease notarized, picked up new license plate sticker, bought new ink cartridges for printer, and ordered internet and cable bundle. *phew*

I MUST have internet...otherwise how else will I keep y'all posted on my happenings in Orlando?

I can't believe that there is less than 4 days left before the ROAD TRIP!!! Woo Hoo!! I love road trips...it's my opportunity to belt it out in the car to a bunch of Disney tunes (poor boyfriend has to endure the pain though) *giggles*.

Things I still have to do: laundry, pack, learn to cook...EGAD!!! LEARN TO COOK?!?!??! Other than two worded food combos (ie. peanut butter and jelly, mac and cheese, cereal and milk) I don't have an extensive background in cooking. However, my boyfriend's mom is being super sweet to teach me how to make her secret turkey meatloaf and mango salsa. I could tell ya the recipe...but only after she wins the Ultimate Recipe Showdown on Food Network. It is THAT super scrumpdillyumptious. *licks lips*

For the next couple of days, I will be a busy little bee. But no worries, I promise to enter one more blog before I pack up my Vaio and head down south. :o)
