After quitting my job, I decided to take up cake decorating (and blogging). I made a pact to myself that 2009 was going to be a good year and I was going to do everything and anything that made me happy. Come along for the ride!

To Be or Not To Be....Challenged?

So, how did day two go?

I think someone should confiscate my drivers' license. Overall, I had a good day...but for some reason, I missed an exit on the way to school and again on the way home. *shakes head in disgust* No worries though, I still made it to class with 10 minutes to spare. YAY ME!!! :o)

As for class, it went a lot better. *big smile* Yesterday, I made an effort to get up and watch Nick from front and center. He allows us to gather around him while he demonstrates. I find it A LOT more helpful than trying to watch him on the monitors. So, I was able to keep up and I was pretty proud of my work.

Ooooooooo!!!

Aaaaaaahhh!!

Not done yet (slippery when wet). hehe :o)

I promised to post pictures of Nicholas Lodge.

Here he is explaining to us what we will be doing.

(wait, shouldn't I be listening instead of focusing on taking a picture?) tee hee :o)

Anyways, he's a pretty funny guy who loves to ask us if we're "(fill in the blank) challenged". He asks often when we have to put floral tape around our wires. Thank goodness I'm not the only one in my class who is "floral tape challenged". :o)

Oh yeah...I must admit, I love his music selection. After he does his demonstrations, he sends us off to go work independently with music in the background. So far I've heard Wicked, Broadway Musical compilations, Enrique Iglesias, Enchanted soundtrack, and Disney compilations. He has MY taste in music. :o)

Anyways, we are in the process of constructing the flowers. I can't wait because the more it comes together and looks like an actual flower, the more excited I become. *smiles*

A pic from the best seat in the house.

More toys we get to play with in class.
