After quitting my job, I decided to take up cake decorating (and blogging). I made a pact to myself that 2009 was going to be a good year and I was going to do everything and anything that made me happy. Come along for the ride!

One Down, Two To Go

I apologize again for not posting on Thursday.
I seriously didn't know what it was but I had a tummy ache that lasted me THREE whole days. No worries my friend, I'm all better now! Hip Hip...HOORAY! :o)

Let's see if I can catch you up:

Hmmm...well, I FINALLY found a home in Orlando off of Seven Dwarf Lane...how cute is that? *giddy*

My supplies for school have been ordered...I can't wait to try on my chef coat and hat...then I'll be official...ah, the joy of being messy with my Wilton apron *reminiscing*. I remembered how excited I was to wear it and get it dirty...I made sure Amanda took a picture. :o)

It definitely doesn't take much to make me happy :o)

Anyways back to gum paste land...on Thursday it was Leafapalooza and Shopping Extravaganza day.

Most of the day was spent making leaves.

I thought I was the only one that couldn't tell them apart *laughs*. It turned out, most everyone couldn't tell them apart.

The best part of the day was the "KitchenMart".

They converted the kitchen space into a mini shopping zone of gum paste goodies. *GASP* I wanted to buy everything.

Oh my goodness ...from the looks of my receipt and shopping bag...I think I just did! *shocked*

I can't wait to go home and try to make more flowers.

On Friday, we spent the day painting all our flowers:

Somehow, I think I managed to get more paint on myself than the flowers *giggles*.

After all the flowers and leaves were painted, we put all the floral sprays together (or tried to in my case). Ready?

Here is the final product.....drum roll please....

Yes, everything you see here (minus basket and butterfly) are made from Gum Paste. Soooo? How'd I do? *cheeky grin*

YAY, I passed!

Next stop...Gum Paste and Fondant with Colette Peters. :o)
