I am new to this and not quite sure how it all works. I'm not very tech savvy but love to write (my thoughts...at least). I love taking photos and will include them in here as soon as I figure out how *chuckling to myself* :o)
I am about to take a big step in my life and came across another site that has inspired me to start my own blog. What is that big step you ask?
Well, I'm about to go to Notter School of Pastry Arts in Orlando, Florida. Okay, so what's the big deal you ask?
Let me give you a brief background of who I am and where I've been.
Born and raised in Skokie, IL. I love to travel and have often traveled alone but also knew I would return home shortly. The longest I've been away from home was for college. I attended Purdue University in Indiana...which is only a 2 hr drive from here...so whenever I wanted to go home, I COULD :o)
Since graduation, I've been a 2nd grade teacher, bartender, bank teller, and staff accountant. I found joy in all those professions, but none that captured all I look for.
This past September, I started taking cake decorating classes with my sweet sweet boyfriend at a local Michael's store. Our teacher, Tess (pictured on the right), was the cutest thing in the world.
I learned lots from her. Then I quit my accounting job in January in hopes of pursuing something more in the cake industry.
I went on to take the Masters Course at Wilton in Darien, IL. I have taken several courses at Wilton and will be taking three more beginning next week. I'll try and keep up with the blogging throughout the duration of those courses (haha no promises).

My Final Cake Project for The Masters Course...aka my first 3 tired cake :o)

Debbie: my Masters Course mentor and friend.
Give her a piping bag and she'll recreate the world.
A week after that's over, I will be heading out to Orlando for 6 months...YIKES!!!...the longest and farthest I've been away from home....am I ready? I will write more about my fears later...but for now, I'm going to experiment with this whole blogging thing and see if I could make it look kEwL :o)
